Maria is a three time Olympian in the sport of Long Track Speedskating who decided to get serious about Skimo racing the winter of 2023-24. Some of the highlights of that season were becoming US and North American Champion in the Individual race at the Wasatch PowderKeg  and placing 16th at her first World Cup race in Italy. Some of her biggest goals for the coming season are racing the ISMF World Championships and Pierre Menta.
