Kelly is a mountain athlete based out of Ophir, Colorado. She has been competing nationally and internationally in Sky and Ultra running disciplines since 2016. From the desert of Phoenix, Arizona originally, it took some time for her to adopt a winter sport. Tired of running through winter in a high elevation ski town, she began skiing in 2020 and was immediately allured by the randonée style of being able to experience the mountains via human power. She was quick to jump into Skimo races in the US and qualified for the USA Skimo team through her 23/24 season. Her best skimo results have been 1st place at the Fireball Rando Individual, 1st place female team at Taos Rio Hondo, 1st place Heathen Challenge, 2nd place USA Nationals Individual, 2x 1st places and course record at Tellurando Skimo, 2x 3rd place female team at Audi Power of Four, 9th place female team at Pierra Menta Grand Course (France, 2024), and 4th place female team at Tour de Rutor Grand Course (Italy, 2024). While enjoying all disciplines of skimo, she especially loves the longer endurance and stage races, thanks to her ultra distance background. She coaches gymnastics in Telluride, the sport she grew up doing, and is supported by La Sportiva and Spring Energy.
