Hi, I’m John Rauen, and I live in Breckenridge, CO. I discovered skimo after college, and I was immediately hooked. My first race was a total struggle—during the event, I lost both of my skins and couldn’t get them restuck, so I ended up running the course with my skis in hand. Despite the mishaps, I had a blast, and that experience only fueled my determination to improve.
